The walk starts from the northeast corner of the visitor center. Follow the trail north with the parking lot on the left.

After a short distance the canal is seen with water. The canal empties into a spillway just south of the point shown.

The stone wall shown here protected the canal bed.

The path to the left connects to the parking lot. Continue straight on the trail next to the canal.
