The walk starts from the Cabells Mill Complex parking lot in Ellanor C. Lawrence Park.

1. From the parking lot turn right and follow the service road away from Walney Road. The service road will turn to the left.
2. Turn right onto the intersecting gravel trail. A trail sign and map will appear shortly on the right.
3. A trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
4. An asphalt trail intersects from the right next to a bench. Turn right to follow that trail up the hill and through a wooded area.
5. An asphalt trail intersects from the right just prior to a group of homes. Turn right to follow that trail as it continues through the woods.
6. An asphalt trail intersects from the left. Continue straight on the present trail as it curves to the right. It will shortly cross a stream on a column crossing. The stream is often dry so it is unlikely the column crossing will be needed.
7. An asphalt trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
8. An asphalt trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
9. The trail intersects with Northbourne Drive. Turn left to follow the concrete sidewalk along that road.
10. Continue to follow the sidewalk along Northbourne Drive after crossing Doyle Lane.
11. The concrete sidewalk changes to an asphalt trail and turns left to leave the road.
12. An asphalt trail intersects from the left. Continue straight on the present trail.
13. An asphalt trail intersects from the left. Turn left to follow that trail between the houses. Upon reaching Heathrow Lane follow the sidewalk on the right.
14. Turn right at Highbourne Lane to follow the sidewalk on the right.
15. Take the asphalt trail between the houses at the end of Highbourne Lane. The trail turns left behind the houses.
16. At the next intersecting asphalt trail turn right to cross a dam that is part of a water retention basin.
17. Turn left onto the intersecting asphalt trail on the other side of the dam. There should be homes on your right.
18. Turn left at the next intersecting asphalt trail. There will be woods on your left.
19. Turn right at the next intersecting asphalt trail. You will pass a vehicle barrier and shortly rejoin Rocky Run on your right.
20. An asphalt trail intersects from the left next to a bench. Continue straight on the present trail along Rocky Run.
21. A gravel trail intersects from the left. Continue straight on the present trail along Rocky Run.
22. After passing a display with a map of the trail turn left onto an asphalt access road.
23. Turn left to enter the parking lot where this walk started.
