Walk from the parking lot taking the path to the left of the park office.

The trail crosses the Lake Fairfax dam.

After crossing the dam the trail climbs a hill.

After reaching the top of the first hill continue straight on the trail as it changes to a gravel surface.

At the top of the hill a road intersects from the left. Continue along that road as it turns to the left on the other side of the field.
