This walk will take you through the One Cameron Place and Great Falls Crossing developments adjacent to Reston. Only the portion of the Great Falls Crossing development north of Baron Cameron Avenue is visited. This is a good walk for people interested in viewing homes and landscaping.

  1. The walk starts from the parking area at Baron Cameron Park next to the Wiehle Avenue access road. Cross Wiehle Avenue at the access road entrance and take the sidewalk on the right side of Longwood Grove Drive.
  2. Continue on Longwood Grove Drive as you cross Concord Pond Lane.
  3. Turn right at the intersection of Old Quincy Lane and follow the sidewalk on the left side.
  4. At the end of Old Quincy Lane take the asphalt path leading into the wooded area behind the houses.
  5. Turn left at the intersecting asphalt trail and follow it along Baron Cameron Avenue.
  6. The trail turns left and emerges from the trees at a water retention basin. Turn left at the intersecting asphalt trail and walk up the hill between the houses.
  7. Turn left at the sidewalk and follow it to the end of Chesington Place. Turn left onto the asphalt trail between house numbers 1113 and 1114. The trail goes between the houses back to a basketball court.
  8. Turn right at the basketball court and walk up the steps to Cameron Heath Drive.
  9. Cross Cameron Heath Drive and turn right to follow the sidewalk on the other side past the first house. Turn left at the common ground area before the next house. Note the steel grate placed in the ground. Walk back past the vehicle barrier at the end of Tunwell Stable Court.
  10. Follow the sidewalk on the right side of Tunwell Stable Court to the next intersection.
  11. Turn right and follow the sidewalk along Hunter Gate Way.
  12. Continue on Hunter Gate Way after crossing Aldbury Way.
  13. Continue on Hunter Gate Way after crossing Gates Meadow Way.
  14. Turn right at Murray Downs Way and follow the sidewalk along the left side of that street.
  15. Continue on Murray Downs Way after crossing Walbury Court on the left.
  16. Turn left and follow the asphalt trail on the right side of Murray Downs Court. Continue on the asphalt trail across the road and into the grass field.
  17. Turn left at the next 2 trail intersections and follow the asphalt trail as it passes between the houses.
  18. Turn left and follow the sidewalk on the right side of Crippen Vale Court.
  19. Continue on Crippen Vale Court after it passes Stable Farm Court.
  20. Turn right to follow the sidewalk along Hunter Gate Way. Notice the community center building diagonally across the street. The center features a swimming pool and other recreation facilities.
  21. Turn right at the intersection with Baron Cameron Avenue and follow the asphalt trail along that road.
  22. The trail crosses a pipeline as it continues along Baron Cameron Avenue.
  23. Turn right at Gates Meadow Way. Use the sidewalk on the left.
  24. Turn left onto the sidewalk along the left side of Aldbury Way.
  25. Continue along Aldbury Way after crossing Aldbury Court.
  26. Turn left to follow the sidewalk along Hunter Gate Way.
  27. Turn left to follow the sidewalk along Tunwell Stable Court.
  28. At the end of Tunwell Stable Court walk around the vehicle barrier and cross the common ground area to Cameron Heath Drive.
  29. Turn left at Cameron Heath Drive and follow the sidewalk on the left side of that road.
  30. Continue along Cameron Heath Drive after crossing Pelham Manor Place.
  31. Continue along Cameron Heath Drive after crossing Whitstone Place.
  32. Turn right at the intersection with Baron Cameron Avenue and follow the asphalt trail along that road.
  33. Turn right to follow the asphalt trail around the water retention basin. Do not turn onto the intersecting trail to the right between the houses.
  34. The trail rejoins Baron Cameron Avenue. Do not turn at the intersecting asphalt trail from the right. Instead continue on the trail along Baron Cameron Avenue.
  35. At the next intersection cross Wiehle Avenue at the traffic light. After crossing turn right to follow the asphalt trail on the left side of Wiehle Avenue.
  36. The trail intersects with the access road to Baron Cameron Park from Wiehle Avenue and turns right. Turn left to follow the access road to the parking area where the walk started.
