The walk starts at the end of Wadebrook Terrace. There is limited on-street parking here. This used to be the end of the Cross County Trail (CCT) but it has since been extended to reach the Occoquan River. The trail between pointers 1 and 3 on the map is used to access the CCT but is no longer part of the CCT.

Walkers from the previous section of the CCT should cross Pohick Creek using the trail on the side of Pohick Road. At the end of the fence turn left 180 degrees and follow the natural surface trail down the hill to the asphalt trail. Turn right onto that trail.
(South) A natural surface trail intersects just prior to the Pohick Road bridge. Walkers wishing to continue along the next section of the CCT should turn left to walk up the hill. At the top of the hill turn right 180 degrees and follow the asphalt trail along Pohick Road over Pohick Creek.
Walkers finishing up this section of the trail should stay on the asphalt trail that goes under Pohick Road.
