Directions:

This walk starts at the Burke Centre Shopping Center located on Burke Centre Parkway at Green Way. This shopping center is located on the west side of Burke Centre. All of the other walks start at the Town Center Shopping Center that is located in the center of Burke Centre near Roberts Parkway.

1. Cross Burke Centre Parkway at Green Way. Follow the sidewalk on the right side of Green Way until reaching a circular section of the road at Oak Ladder Court.
2. Take the asphalt path on the southwest side of Oak Ladder Court. Follow it until it ends at an intersecting trail near the bottom of the hill.
3. Turn left at the intersecting trail at the bottom of the hill.
4. The trail crosses a bridge and ends at another intersecting trail. Turn right to follow that trail along the stream.
5. The trail crosses a bridge and goes up the hill between the houses. Turn left to follow the sidewalk along Carters Oak Court.
6. Cross Carters Oak Way and turn right to follow the sidewalk a short distance to the end of that road. Turn left to follow the asphalt path between the homes.
7. Turn right at the first intersecting asphalt trail on the right. Walk a short distance to Oakview Park Drive.
8. After crossing Oakview Park Drive turn left to follow the sidewalk along that road. Walk past the intersection of Burr Oak Way and follow Oakview Park Drive as it curves to the left.
9. Turn right onto the gravel path between the homes after passing 5911 Oak Park Drive. The path goes to the back of the homes and turns left to follow a stream on the right.
10. The trail crosses a bridge with an intersecting trail on the left. Continue straight on the present trail.
11. An asphalt trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail. It is paved with asphalt for a short distance. The asphalt trail turns left at the next trail intersection. Continue straight on the gravel trail as it follows the stream.
12. A trail intersects on the left. Continue straight on the present trail along the stream.
13. The trail intersects with Oak Leather Drive. Continue along the trail as it goes down a short bank on the other side of that road.
14. The trail intersects with an asphalt trail on both sides. Continue straight on the present trail that is paved with asphalt for a short distance.
15. The trail crosses a short boardwalk and becomes a gravel trail again.
16. A trail intersects to the left just prior to Burke Centre Parkway. Continue straight to Burke Centre Parkway.
17. Cross Burke Centre Parkway and take the trail on the opposite side that follows the shoreline on the east side of Lake Barcroft.
18. A trail intersects on the right after crossing a short bridge. Continue on the present trail as it follows the shoreline.
19. The trail turns right as a tot lot appears on the left. A trail intersects on the right. Continue on the present trail as it follows a short inlet.
20. The trail turns left to cross a bridge over the inlet. On the other side of the inlet follow the trail to the left.
21. A trail intersects from the right. Stay straight on the present trail through the barrier. The barrier has a narrow opening that will probably prevent strollers or wheelchairs from passing through.
22. The trail climbs to the top of the dam and meets an intersecting trail. Turn left to cross the dam.
23. On the other side of the dam turn left onto the intersecting trail. The trail goes through a short wooded section along the lake.
24. The trail crosses a short bridge and joins a service road along the lake.
25. Near the end of the service road there is a vehicle barrier just past an intersecting trail. Turn right to follow that intersecting trail for a short distance.
26. Turn left at the first intersecting trail. The trail leads to Burke Centre Parkway. Cross that road to the trail on the opposite side of that road. Take that trail through the woods with homes on the right.
27. A trail intersects on the left. Continue straight on the present trail.
28. The trail crosses Oak Leather Drive. Continue straight on the other side. Turn left at the intersecting trail. The building on the right is the Oaks Community Center.
29. Turn right at the next trail intersection. Do not cross the bridge. After a few feet turn right again onto another intersecting trail.
30. Go straight at the intersecting trail near the basketball court.
31. A trail intersects from the right. Continue straight on the present trail.
32. A trail intersects from between the homes on the left. Continue straight on the present trail.
33. The trail intersects with Green Way. Cross that street and take the sidewalk to the right.
34. The walk ends back at the shopping center at the end of Green Way.
