Notice the many homes along Old Courthouse Road (the road parallel to Leesburg Pike on the south side). Most of these homes were still in place until 1970 but have since been replaced with office buildings as the land became too valuable. Chain Bridge Road was widened to four lanes into Vienna from Tysons Corner in the late 1960s.
